The Web OPAC allows you to share your catalogue with your library users

With our Web OPAC, your library’s doors are open to users far and wide. They can search and explore your collection, no matter where they are – at home, in the office or out and about!

  • Ready out-of -the-box but also easily configurable: change field labels, fields displayed, etc.
  • Choice of gadgets to display or hide.
  • Carousel of New Titles.

The Web OPAC comes as a Site Licence in all packages except the Collectors Package for individual users. The Web OPAC site licence allows you to share your catalogue with unlimited library users. Library users do not have access to the Library Admin functionality.

Flexible Licensing

This package includes:

  • One Admin Licence for library administrators

 

Each Admin Licence is a user licence for a named library administrator. Each licence allows one  library administrator to login. Add more Admin Licences when you place your order or later if you find you need more. It’s totally flexible!

Library administrators can create catalogue records and enter data generally throughout the system according to the Package you have chosen.

Flexible loans for libraries!

In Simple Little Library System the loans module is geared to your loan policies. 

With the loans module you can:

  • Set your standard loan length
  • Set items as Reference Only
  • Create borrowing privileges for types of users
  • Record new loans
  • Return loans
  • Renew loans
  • Send Overdue Notices (or not)
  • Reserve items for borrowers
  • Dedicated self loan check-out / check-in page (optional)

Keep track of orders, receipts, returns, and invoices

In Simple Little Library System the finance module is designed to keep track of  your purchases of new stock.

With the finance module you can:

  • Record orders
  • Enter dates received
  • Keep track of returns
  • Record invoice details
  • Upload invoices 
  • Allocate spending to cost centres
  • Run multi-dimensional expenditure reports

 

Finance records are connected to the catalogue so you don’t have to duplicate title details. And you can throw away your spreadsheets!

Why do you need this when your Accounts Department handle the payment of invoices? Rather than entries that say “books”, you will have full details of items ordered and whether the invoice should be paid.

Keep track of subscriptions and check-in serial issues

In Simple Little Library System the serials module is designed for the messy world of legal serial publications, like encyclopedia, law reports, multi-volume works and journals.

With the serials module you can:

  • Set the frequency of the serial
  • Check-in serial issues, loose-leaf updates, replacement volumes, and annual indexes
  • Get alerts to missing items
  • Make notes of claims for missing items
  • Cancel subscriptions
